THE STRENGTH TO TAKE THE STEP

October 15, 2026
Golden sunrise over misty mountain ridges and a rocky trail, with Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.”

There are days when you get up already wondering how you will make it through. The bills are still there. Someone you love still needs more than you know how to give. You have prayed about it, but you are tired, and another day of holding everything together feels like a lot to ask. In those moments, it can be hard to admit that you need strength yourself. You are so used to being the one who keeps going.

Paul understood what it meant to live under pressure. Before writing, “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me,” he spoke about learning to be content both with plenty and with very little. He had experienced hunger and need, and he had learned to depend on Christ through both. That gives these words weight when your own strength feels thin. You can come to Jesus honestly, without pretending you are handling everything well. Ask Him for strength to have the difficult conversation, care for the person who needs you, or face another uncertain day. You may still feel tired. You may still have questions. Christ can sustain you there, helping you meet what is before you with patience, courage, and faith.

MOMENT OF PRAYER

Lord Jesus, You know where fear has held me back and how tired I am from trying to carry everything myself. Help me trust You enough to obey, even when my hands shake and I cannot see how things will turn out. When the road gets hard, give me strength to stay faithful. When I stumble, help me rise and follow You again. Let my courage grow from knowing that You are with me. Today, I place the outcome in Your hands and take the next step in Your strength.

In Jesus’ beautiful name, Amen.

STAND FIRM TODAY

Take the step you have been putting off. Pray, trust Christ, and move forward with trembling hands if you must. Fear may come with you but Choose Faith and the fear won’t lead you. Christ will.
