You Don’t Have to Solve Tomorrow

October 3, 2026
Morning sunlight falls across a kitchen table with a coffee cup and notebook beneath Matthew 6:34, reminding us not to be anxious about tomorrow.

You sit down to catch your breath, but your mind keeps working. What if the money runs out? What if the news is bad? What if things don’t get better?

Before long, you’re trying to get through today while carrying every problem that might come tomorrow. Emphasis on might.

Jesus knows we have real needs. In Matthew 6, He speaks about food, clothing, and the Father’s care for us. His instruction about tomorrow comes in the middle of that conversation. He isn’t asking us to pretend life is easy. He’s teaching us to trust our Father on our journey through life..

You can make plans. They can change. You handle your responsibilities. There’s always more. But you don’t have to have every problem solved before taking the next step that’s right in front of you.

Maybe that step is making a phone call, finishing a task, or asking someone for help. Start there. Bring the worry to God, even if you have to bring it again an hour later.

Tomorrow matters. But today, today is called the ‘present’ for a reason. It’s a gift from God. Enjoy your present because the things you worry about for tomorrow may never come.

MOMENT OF PRAYER

Father, my mind keeps reaching for answers I don’t have. Help me trust Your care and give my attention to what You’ve placed before me today. Show me the next step, and give me the courage to take it.

In Jesus’ beautiful name, Amen.

STAND FIRM TODAY

When tomorrow’s worries interrupt you, pause and pray. Then return to one thing you can do today and do it.
