Tell God What’s Really Going On

There are things we tell people, and there are things we keep buried. We say we’re fine. We change the subject. We carry the worry through the day because explaining it feels harder than simply holding it ourselves. But God never asked us to clean up our thoughts before bringing them to Him.
Psalm 62:8 says to pour out your heart before Him. Not part of it. Not the version that sounds faithful. The whole thing. The fear you don’t want to admit. The frustration you think you shouldn’t feel. The question you’ve asked a hundred times without receiving the answer you wanted. God already knows what is there, and He still invites you to bring it to Him.
Prayer doesn’t require pretending. Sometimes faith sounds less like a confident speech and more like, “God, I don’t know what to do with this anymore.” That is still prayer. And the God who tells you to pour out your heart also promises to be your refuge.
MOMENT OF PRAYER
Father, You know everything I’m carrying, including the things I struggle to put into words. Help me stop hiding what You already see. I trust You with my fears, questions, frustrations, and hopes. Be my refuge today and remind me that I do not have to carry these things alone.
In Jesus’ beautiful name, Amen.
STAND FIRM TODAY
Tell God the part you’ve been leaving out. Don’t polish it. Don’t make it sound spiritual. Bring it to Him exactly as it is—and trust the One who invited you to come.
