Keep Doing Good

October 2, 2026
Two people exchanging a bag of groceries at a brick doorway, with Galatians 6:9 encouraging perseverance in doing good.

You’ve been there for someone, listened when they needed to talk, and helped however you could. But their struggles keep coming, and you’re getting tired. You care about them. You just wonder whether anything you do is helping.

Paul’s words speak to that tired place: β€œLet’s not be weary in doing good.” He knew that loving people takes patience. We may want to see change right away, but we cannot always see what God is doing through a conversation, a meal, or a simple act of kindness.

Think about the people who stayed beside you when you were struggling. They may never have known how much their presence mattered. Your kindness can matter that way too. You don’t have to solve someone’s whole life to show them the love of Jesus today. And when you need rest, you can bring your own weariness to Him. Ask Him to renew your strength and guide you in what to offer. Let God care for you as you continue caring for others.

MOMENT OF PRAYER

Lord Jesus, I get tired, even when I want to help. Renew my strength and give me patience. Show me how to love others today, and help me trust You with what I cannot change.

In Jesus’ beautiful name, Amen.

STAND FIRM TODAY

Reach out to someone you’ve been helping out. Offer one simple kindness without putting pressure on yourself to fix everything.
