The Ordinary Is Full of Glory
We can become so accustomed to ordinary life that we stop noticing how extraordinary it really is.
Morning light crossing a room. Rain hitting the pavement. A bird landing on a fence. The rhythm of your own heartbeat. None of these things arrive with flashing signs saying, “Pay attention—God is here.” Yet creation quietly points beyond itself.
David looked at the heavens and saw more than sky. He saw evidence of the Creator.
Sometimes we think experiencing God requires a dramatic moment, a perfect worship service, or a life-changing answer to prayer. But God’s fingerprints are also present in the things we walk past every day.
Jesus often drew attention to ordinary things—birds, flowers, seeds, bread, water—and used them to reveal eternal truth.
Today, don’t rush past everything.
Look around.
There is beauty you did not manufacture, breath you did not create, and mercy you did not earn. The ordinary world is still declaring something magnificent:
God is here. God is good. And His glory is closer than you think.
MOMENT OF PRAYER
Father, open my eyes to Your goodness today. Help me notice the beauty, provision, and grace I too easily overlook. Thank You for revealing Your greatness through both extraordinary miracles and ordinary moments. Give me a heart that remains amazed by You. In Jesus’ beautiful name, Amen!
STAND FIRM TODAY
Before the day ends, intentionally stop for one minute and notice something God created that you normally ignore. Don’t photograph it. Don’t post it. Just thank Him for it.
