Protection Over My Family

Few burdens feel as personal as concern for family. When you are worried about the people you love, prayer helps you place them in God’s hands and ask Him to watch over their going out and coming in.

“The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” — Psalm 121:7–8

Prayer

Lord, I lift my family to You. You know each person, each need, each struggle, and each place where protection is needed. I cannot be everywhere, see everything, or control every situation, but You can watch over those I love with perfect care.

Your Word says that You preserve our going out and our coming in. I ask You to cover my family with Your protection. Guard their hearts, minds, bodies, and steps. Lead them away from harm, surround them with wisdom, and help them recognize what is good and what is dangerous.

Protect our home with peace. Strengthen love, patience, forgiveness, and unity among us. Where there is stress, bring calm. Where there is conflict, bring humility. Where there is fear, bring trust.

Lord, draw each of us closer to You. Let our family be shaped by Your truth and held by Your grace. I place the people I love in Your faithful hands today.
