Move While Your Knees Are Shaking

Sometimes we think courage is supposed to feel powerful.
Like one day the fear disappears, confidence shows up, and suddenly we’re ready.
But that isn’t usually how it happens.
Sometimes courage looks like making the call while your stomach is in knots. Walking into the room when you’re not sure you belong there. Saying yes to something God has placed in front of you even though part of you still wants to run the other way.
Joshua knew that feeling.
He was stepping into enormous responsibility after Moses. God didn’t tell him to wait until he felt ready. He told him to be strong and courageous because God would be with him wherever he went.
That changes everything.
Your courage does not have to come from believing you can handle whatever happens. It can come from knowing you won’t face it alone.
You may still feel nervous. You may still have questions. Your hands might shake and your voice might crack.
Go anyway.
Faith is not always standing tall without fear.
Sometimes faith is taking the next step while your knees are still shaking.
MOMENT OF PRAYER
Father, there are things in front of me that scare me. I don’t always feel strong, confident, or ready. Help me remember that courage doesn’t depend on how fearless I feel. It comes from knowing You are with me. Give me the strength to obey You, take the next step, and trust You with whatever comes after it.
In Jesus’ beautiful name, Amen.
STAND FIRM TODAY
Don’t wait to feel fearless before you move.
