LEAVE BEFORE YOU HAVE TO FIGHT

We usually think strength means standing our ground but sometimes the smartest thing you can do is leave. We picture ourselves facing temptation head-on, trying to prove that our faith is strong enough to handle whatever is in front of us. But Joseph gives us a very different picture. When the situation crossed the line, he didn’t stay there trying to prove anything. He ran.
There are moments in life when you already know where something is heading. Maybe it is a conversation that keeps pulling you somewhere you should not go, a habit you keep making excuses for, or a situation you keep telling yourself you can control. Deep down, you already know it is getting too close.
Joseph reminds us that having faith does not always mean staying and fighting. You do not have to keep standing near something that is weakening your heart just to prove that you are strong. There is wisdom in creating distance. There is courage in leaving before temptation becomes a decision you might regret.
God is not asking you to impress Him with how close you can stand to the edge. He is asking you to trust Him enough to step away when you know something is pulling you in the wrong direction.
MOMENT OF PRAYER
Lord, give me wisdom to recognize the things that are quietly pulling me away from You. When I need to walk away, give me the courage to do it without making excuses or looking back. Strengthen my heart, guide my decisions, and help me choose what keeps me close to You.
In Jesus’ beautiful name, Amen.
STAND FIRM TODAY
If there is something in your life you already know is pulling you in the wrong direction, do not keep testing how close you can get without falling. Trust what God is showing you, create some distance, and choose the path that keeps your heart pointed toward Him.
