When You Feel Anxious
Anxiety can make the heart feel crowded and the mind feel restless. When fear starts to rise, prayer helps us bring our thoughts back before God and remember that we are not facing the moment alone.
βCasting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.β β 1 Peter 5:7
Prayer
Lord, I come to You with the anxiety I am carrying right now. You know the thoughts that keep circling in my mind, the fears I do not always say out loud, and the pressure I feel inside. I do not want to pretend I am fine when my heart feels unsettled. I bring this worry to You honestly.
Your Word says to cast all my care upon You because You care for me. Help me believe that deeply today. Teach me to stop holding so tightly to the things I cannot control. Quiet the fearful thoughts that keep pulling my attention away from Your presence.
Lord, give me peace in the middle of this moment. Help me take one breath, one step, and one responsibility at a time. Remind me that You are near, steady, wise, and faithful. Where my mind feels overwhelmed, guard me with Your truth. Where my heart feels weak, strengthen me with Your grace.
I trust You with what I can see and with what I cannot see. I trust You with this day, this burden, this decision, and this fear. Help me rest in Your care and walk forward with quiet confidence in You.
In Jesusβ name, Amen.

This prayer gave words to what anxiety often makes difficult to express. I am asking God for peace in my thoughts and wisdom for the things I can actually address.
