Patience When Life Feels Frustrating
Frustration often builds in small moments: delays, misunderstandings, interruptions, and pressure that piles up too quickly. Prayer helps us slow down before irritation becomes words or actions we regret.
“Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.” — James 1:19
Prayer
Lord, I need patience today. You know the things that have been frustrating me, the moments where my temper feels close to the surface, and the places where I feel stretched thin. I do not want frustration to control my words, my attitude, or my actions.
Your Word says to be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath. Help me live that today. Teach me to pause before I respond. Give me ears to listen, wisdom to understand, and humility to admit when my reaction is not honoring You.
When delays happen, help me stay steady. When people are difficult, help me show grace. When plans change, help me trust You instead of becoming harsh or anxious. Let Your Spirit produce patience in me where I cannot produce it on my own.
Lord, soften my heart. Make my words gentle, my thoughts truthful, and my responses wise. Help me move through this frustrating day with peace that points back to You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
