You Don’t Need the Whole Map
Some days you want answers for the next six months before you take the next step.
You want to know how the job will work out. Whether the relationship will change. Where the money will come from. What happens if the plan fails.
But a lamp does not light the entire road. It gives you enough light to see where you are standing and where to step next.
That is the picture Psalm 119 gives us of God’s Word.
Scripture does not always answer every question about what is coming. It does something better: it gives us truth for how to walk faithfully right now.
Maybe you cannot see how everything will work out today. You can still choose honesty. You can still forgive. You can still pray. You can still obey what God has already made clear.
Faith does not require knowing the whole route before you move.
Open God’s Word. Pay attention to the light He has already given you.
Then take the next faithful step.
MOMENT OF PRAYER
Father, I want to know what is ahead, but I know You have called me to trust You today. Help me stop demanding answers You have not given and pay attention to the truth You already have. Guide my decisions through Your Word, give me wisdom for the next step, and help me walk faithfully even when I cannot see very far ahead. In Jesus’ beautiful name, Amen.
