A Prayer for Peace in Anxiety
If your mind feels heavy today, pray this honestly before God.
Dear God,
I come to You today with a heart that feels overwhelmed and a mind that feels restless. There are things weighing on me that I cannot fully control, and at times the pressure feels too heavy to carry. You see every anxious thought, every fear, every burden, and every quiet struggle that no one else can see. Nothing in me is hidden from You.
God, I ask You right now to bring peace into the places in my heart and mind that feel unsettled. Calm the thoughts that keep racing. Quiet the fear that keeps rising. Help me stop carrying what I was never meant to carry alone. When anxiety tries to take hold of me, remind me that You are still God, still present, and still faithful.
Lord, You promised to give me a peace that surpasses understanding, and I ask for that peace now. Not the kind of peace that comes from everything going my way, but the kind of peace that comes from knowing You are with me in the middle of it. Help me trust You even when I do not have every answer. Help me remember that my life is in Your hands.
Please give me strength where I feel weak, clarity where I feel overwhelmed, and rest where I feel mentally exhausted. Teach me to bring my thoughts back to You when fear starts pulling me in the wrong direction. Guard my heart. Guard my mind. Help me not to live ruled by anxiety, but anchored in Your presence and truth.
Father, when I feel uncertain about tomorrow, remind me that You are already there. When I feel like I am losing peace, pull me back into Your steadiness. When I feel afraid, help me choose trust. I do not want fear to lead me. I want You to lead me.
Thank You for hearing me. Thank You for not turning away from me in my weakness. Thank You for being near even in moments when I feel emotionally tired and mentally worn down. I place my burdens before You now and ask You to carry what I cannot.
In Jesus Name I Pray, Amen!

Thank you for this prayer. Anxiety can make everything feel urgent, but these words helped me slow down and place the situation back in God’s hands.
